Enhancements on the Star Micronics TSP100 FuturePRNT from DED
The TSP100 FuturePRNT range of POS printers from Star Micronics has been enhanced with a few new additions. The latest models in the range include the TSP100GT and the TSP100LAN. Both new versions of the TSP100 are based on the current model which has taken the POS printing market by storm.

With market leading software and accessories included free of charge, the TSP100GT is the super fast version of the TSP100. Printing at 250mm/second, or 45 receipts per minute, the TSP100GT is available in full gloss piano black or full gloss ice-white. With splash proof cover and display stand options, the TSP100GT is suited to a wealth of applications in the hospitality and retail industries.

The TSP100LAN is the dedicated Ethernet version of the TSP100. Providing long distance reliable communication from multiple hosts at an entry level price, the TSP100LAN offers many features to enhance communication. A 'keep alive' feature is included in the software which prints a graphical warning message if it detects that connection to the printer has been lost. An 'auto fallback' feature is also included which automatically reroutes a print job if there is a printer failure. This ensures that receipts are still printed if an error occurs.

Working straight out of the box with no extra's required, the TSP100 FuturePRNT from Star Micronics is one of the lowest cost, highest quality printers available today. With intuitive features, flexible components and minimal footprint, the TSP100 offers the facility to re-design receipts without changing software, crop out embedded text, images and unwanted sections on receipts and create new space for profit making messages and graphics with the unique coupon marketing tool, offering a keyword search to trigger relevant vouchers and information on customer receipts. The unique preview tool makes this even easier by allowing receipts to be previewed before printing (much like print preview screens in Microsoft programmes). Making resident fonts irrelevant, the font replacement tool works in combination with other tools available on the TSP100 to replace any non true type fonts on the receipt with a more attractive / dynamic font without affecting the speed of the printer.

An innovative feature designed by Star with customer needs in mind, is the automatic receipt reversal software included with the TSP100 as standard. Regardless of whether the printer is desk top, wall mounted or fixed in a kiosk, simply ticking a box in the printer set up rotates the receipt to the correct orientation for printing.

Software developers will love the dedicated, flexible SDK, Active X components the easy driver installation and the modular aspect of the TSP100 which enables Star designed components to be dropped and dragged into existing non Star software, so that the TSP100 features can be taken full advantage of without changing any software.

The TSP100 is JAVA-POS and OPOS, Apple MAC, Linux and Windows compatible and has Microsoft certification (WHQL).
