The expanding and increasingly sophisticated UK Gaming industry is providing a regular source of business for Lydd-based DED Limited.

One company in particular, NRC Touch Gaming, part of the NRC Group (UK) Limited, have once again employed DED's expertise in the use of Printers and Printer Mechanisms to help them with a very specific project.

The demands of automated gaming require that a player's winnings are printed onto a bar-coded ticket to be cashed at the Cash Desk. In NRC Touch Gaming's case, their state-of-the-art Touch AR terminals require compact, reliable, high quality printers as the output from the machine must look as good as the machine itself.

DED's experience and technical expertise was called on once again to deliver the winning solution with NRC Touch Gaming's requirements perfectly matched this time by the NP345 thermal ticket printer from Nippon Primex. In this particular instance, size was everything and thanks to its clever design the NP345 takes up very little space but is more than robust enough for the job. Featuring high quality rapid text, graphics and a wide range of barcodes, including two dimensional 'QRCode' plus portrait, landscape and bitmap printing, the NP345 is also security conscious, retaining the perforated, customised tickets within the machine until printing is completed. This prevents user-interference and is therefore ideal for unattended applications.
