A 9 needle impact mechanism is used which prints on paper from 57mm up to 82.5mm wide at a fast 3.2 lines per second. A paper roll up to 85mm diameter (63 metres) can be used. A modified D200 interface is used which allows data to be input from various sources or alternatively a customised program can be written which could be self contained. The D242-03 has a presenter fitted to prevent paper jams and handles varying length tickets.
