TCP400 Rewritable Card Printer

Introduction

The latest addition to the TCP series from Star Micronics, this new printer can take plastic cards of 0.76mm in thickness and erase and re-write the information on them in as little as 4 seconds, up to a maximum of 500 times. Printing high contrast black or blue text at up to 203 dpi on any colour background, the TCP400 is ideal for environments where cards need to be reused again and again, such as temporary access control and visitor management applications as well as loyalty, membership and appointment cards.

The TCP400 is fitted with both USB and RS232C Serial interfaces and comes with Windows 2000 and XP drivers. This re-writable card printer even has a maintenance indicator to warn the operator of the optimum time to run a head cleaning cycle in order to obtain the highest resolution card printouts.
