Purchasing Controller (Added Friday, January 8, 2010)

We require a Purchasing Controller to cover the following tasks:
- Purchasing stock from UK & overseas suppliers based on prediction report showing future sales orders & minimum stock values.
- Working with suppliers to ensure that promised delivery dates are met.
- Obtaining lead times for new sales enquiries.
- Managing manufacturing orders ensuring that all required components are available on time and that jobs are built on time to meet promised delivery dates.
- Monitoring & adjusting stock levels based on sales trends taking into account most cost effective shipping methods/quantities.
- Managing warehouse to ensure that stock is booked in correctly and on time.
- Generating picking lists for sales orders using available stock and passing paperwork to warehouse for picking.
- Checking delivery notes and invoices against purchase orders to ensure that all items have been correctly delivered before passing to accounts dept for payment.
- Working with suppliers to ensure we get the best possible prices, shipping costs and payment terms.
- Dealing with general purchasing and logistics queries/issues from internal departments and suppliers.
