Q. When printing black images and text why do they print as green instead of black ?

A. There are two ways to print dark or black areas:
• 1- using the YMC panels, also known as composite black or
• 2- using the K (black) panel.
Composite black is more suitable print dark areas in a picture. This is not a
pure black and usually is dark brown.
The second option should be used for printing text and when printing bar codes.
If text is still not printing in the black panel then you may need to check the actual image, it may be that it looks black but is actually a slightly different shade of a dark colour.
