The magnetic card reader / writer ( encoder) range from DED offers a variety of products and technologies from simple magnetic card readers to untis capable of reading and (encoding) writing data.

Magnetic cards can store sufficient data on either hico or loco magnetic tracks to be used for loyalty, membership and access control applications. However, smart cards can store considerably more data and are more secure, making them ideal for electronic purse or loyalty applications where a value is stored on the card.

Combined with magnetic card reader technology, the visual card systems from Star Micronics gives the added benefit of being able to communicate visually with the customer, making the cards ideal for loyalty, appointment and visitor ID applications.
